Easy Read

One of the fastest growing areas of alternative formats is Easy Read. This is a way of writing and laying out documents so that they are simple to read, and can also be applied to the spoken word. It has been developed by the Easy Read Group, which is part of the Learning Disability Group. We are proud to be one of the few companies to offer this vital service in the UK.

We ensure that the correct terminology is used and pictures are placed in a way that aids the reader, rather than just to add colour. Sentences are kept to a short length and fonts are always displayed in the right format. A list explaining certain words must also be included for ease of use, and abbreviations cannot be used. Our design and transcription teams work together throughout this involved process to create simple, readable copy with complementing images.
