Braille

The Royal National Institute of the Blind estimates that there are 13,000 active Braille users in the UK. It's a format most people are familiar with: raised dots create letters, numbers and words to put information literally at the fingertips of the reader.

There are two forms of Braille: Grade 1, in which each letter is reproduced; and Grade 2 (contracted), a shorthand version where certain words or parts of words are replaced by symbols and so is shorter and quicker to read.

Braille is not only used for making text come to life for visually impaired people. We can transcribe graphs, tables and charts so that they are as comprehensible to Braille users as the original was to sighted people. Our production team has years of experience in creating clear explanations of all types of graphics, ensuring Braille readers get the best possible service.

We can transcribe letters, policy documents, bills and, well, just about anything into Braille. Just give our sales consultants a call on 01825 765 999 to discuss your requirements.
